PhD studies under my supervision

Please read this if you are interested in becoming a PhD (graduate) student under my supervision at Chalmers. A graduate student position at Chalmers is normally an employment with salary. Thus, I must have research funds available before I can accept a new student. Me and my collegues in the research group file research proposals to almost every open call in our area and quite often we are successful. When we have funds available for a graduate student position (or any other position), we advertise an open position under Vacancies on the Chalmers web page. All information needed to apply for the position is given in the advertisement. So please check regularly under Vacanies and file your application according to the instructions given when you find anything of your interest.

If you have your own funding (stipend, etc.), please note that Chalmers requires that it amounts to at least 15.000 SEK per month. If it is less, we are required to add the difference between 15.000 SEK and what you have, and this is in almost all cases impossible for us due to the limited funds we have available and due to the fact that we cannot use government funds for this. If you write to me about the possibility to become a student on your own funding, you must clearly state the amount of your funding and if it is less that 15.000 SEK per month, I will not consider (evaluate) you for graduate studies.
